We have a new space offering information about the past Forums (Barcelona 2004 and Monterrey 2007) and the future ones (Valparaíso 2010 and Naples 2013). We call these Forum cities and they have already established a network of knowledge, exchange and solidarity.

You will also find a space addressed to those cities interested in hosting future editions of the Universal Forum of Cultures, with information on the candidature process and the guidelines approved by the Foundation Board of Trustees in 9 June 2008. The next Forum will be held in 2016.

We carry on with the main Forum Foundation projects, legacy from the Forum Barcelona 2004:

The Barcelona Center for the Support of the Global Compact is an initiative that came up from the Forum dialogue entitled "The role of the Company in the 21st Century" and it was consolidated with the signing of a partnership agreement between the United Nations, represented by the Global Compact Office, and the Forum Foundation. Since September 2005, we have organized a yearly meeting for Local Networks (two were in Barcelona and the others in Monterrey, Bonn and Istanbul), in collaboration with the GC New York office.

The Peace Camp is a Forum Foundation project in collaboration with the local governments and civil society of several cities. It annually gathers a hundred youngsters willing to promote projects for a better management of globalization. Since the first Camp, held in the Forum 2004, more than 2.000 boys and girls from more than sixty cities all over the world have lived together, engaged in dialogue and exchanged experiences in the five new editions that have been held, creating a growing community that keeps working.

The website also includes other legacies from the Forums. You will find the main documentation and links to the contributions and agreements that developed from the more than fifty Forum Dialogues. There is also what we have called Barcelona Footprint where -in collaboration with the Communication Institute of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona- we offer a follow-up of the core themes of the Forum and of the related activities organized in Barcelona.

We encourage you to surf our new website and hope you will like it.

Please feel free to send us any suggestions or comments to help us improve the site. You can contact the Foundation at info@fundacioforum.org.
