Progress and Value Workshop Series. Methodology
Progress & Value Workshops create an environment where theory and practice meet; they are based on peer-learning and the exchange of experiences.
A P&V Workshop typically brings in two or three business professionals, who present and discuss the implementation of corporate citizenship commitments in their organization. They share their insights on how they met the challenge of vision and strategy creation, policy and program development, measurement, evaluation and communication. Business faculty presentations are interspersed with theoretical frameworks on corporate citizenship, change management strategies and practical information regarding the COP requirement. Academics or GC staff usually lead these sessions, while workshop participants are expected to play a very active role through question and answer sessions, group work and coaching exercises. In addition to encouraging networking, P&V Workshops are also meant to publicly recognize notable practices, and to encourage newcomers, observers and inactive participants to get involved in the initiative. When organizing a P&V Workshops, Local Networks also get a great occasion to assert their value to local members.

Progress & Value Workshops are thus a constructive and empowering learning platform, designed to build capacity within companies, Local Networks and the GC initiative as a whole.
